We are practical idealists. Of course, we too dream of beauty and a circular world, but we prefer to work on it. Every single day. Together with clients and always with users and the environment in mind. That results in designs to live, work and learn in. Architecture that gives users space, strengthens the environment and gives something back to society. We are Kraaijvanger.

Kraaijvanger Architects was founded in 1927 by brothers Evert and Herman Kraaijvanger. This in imitation of their father contractor/architect B. Th. Kraaijvanger who established himself in 1896 with a carpenter's workshop. As a result, the firm has a long history of 90 years, made big during Reconstruction. In 2016, Bim&Beyond was founded: "Bimmers with a sketching role" and completely in line with the Kraaijvanger brothers' vision. In 2020, the visualization branch Plotvis came to life. In all these areas we have the ambition to excel.

Our Blaak 40 office is what we call in the corridors an "old Kraaijvanger. The building was designed in 1946-1950 by brothers Evert and Herman Kraaijvanger for the former Amsterdam Bank/ Collection Bank. Today, the reconstruction building is a national monument.

Ever since the 1990s, we saw the social importance of sustainability within architecture. Since then, this is where our focus has been: creating environments that touch people, in which sustainability also plays a prominent role. We derive great pleasure from collaborating with our clients and fellow consultants. In our work, we are constantly looking for new ways to collaborate and meet. We want to make our dream of building a clean circular world a reality with your help as a practical idealist. In this you will work in a multidisciplinary team, with young and old, male and female representing different areas of expertise. You are curious and entrepreneurial, not only in architecture or Bim model. Our team is multifunctional, which allows us to design adaptively and decisively, generate ideas and continue to develop.
